You're not lost.
You're just overwhelmed.
And somewhere underneath all of it —
you're still in there.

SoulFire exists for the moment the quiet finally settles in. For the exhale you didn't know you'd been holding. For the version of you that gets drowned out by deadlines, notifications, and the relentless pace of the life you've built — and just needs a moment to come home to something real.

This is not a hotel. This is not a campsite. This is a place where the wildlife watches you from the tree line, where horses remind you to slow down without saying a word, and where the only agenda is the one the land sets for you.

Colorado's Newest Micro Resort

Not a hotel.
Not a campground.
Something rarer.

SoulFire is a micro resort in the truest sense — every element is purpose-built, every stay is intentional, and every guest is expected. We are not scaling for volume. We are deepening for impact.

Born from the vision of Journey with Equus — a belief that land, animals, and stillness can restore what the pace of modern life quietly takes from us. When you stay here, you're not a transaction. You're part of the answer — and part of the story.

Rest
Rest

Step into the quiet. No walk-ins, no crowds, no clock. Just land, stillness, and the slow return of yourself.

Restore
Restore

Off-grid luxury under Colorado skies. Dark nights, warm fire, the soft drift of a breeze through the pines, and sleep that actually heals.

Reconnect
Reconnect

With wildlife. With horses. With the part of you that knows what sets your soul on fire — and has been waiting to remember.

Your Stay

Two experiences.
One intention — to bring you back to yourself.

Each unit is sited with intention. The Dome is engineered for the full arc of Colorado light — sunrise through the entrance, sunsets pouring through the southwestern glass wall. The Conestoga sits tucked into the trees, sheltered by ponderosa pines and dappled shade.

Wake with the sunrise. Sleep beneath the stars.

A striking dark geodesic structure positioned to catch the full daily arc of Colorado light. A front deck with propane fire feature opens to the morning sun. The panoramic glass rear wall faces southwest — pulling pasture views, sunsets, and an unfiltered night sky directly into your space. Shared exterior bathroom facilities provided steps away.

The Conestoga
Sheltered in the pines. Where the breeze knows your name.

A Conestoga wagon reborn as a luxury retreat. Elevated on authentic timber wheels and tucked into a stand of ponderosa pines, with a front deck, stone fire ring, and Adirondack chairs in dappled shade. Warm canvas walls and wood finishes create the feeling of arriving somewhere unhurried — somewhere sheltered, somewhere that breathes. Each Conestoga includes its own private en suite bathroom.

A Living Ranch

This land is
already alive.

SoulFire is not a theme park. It's an active, working ranch — horses, donkeys, goats, longhorns, and the full, unhurried cast of Colorado wildlife. Owls. Deer. Pronghorn. Herons. All living their lives across 120 acres that has never once been asked to perform for anyone.

When you arrive, you step into something that was already happening. Something real. You don't observe it from a distance — you become part of the rhythm of it.

That rhythm is exactly what most of us have forgotten. This is where you find it again.

Deep connection with horses — Journey with Equus
"

Horses have been giving us gifts for thousands of years. Most of us have only ever asked them to carry us. Journey with Equus asks something different.

— The Vision of Journey with Equus
Home of Journey with Equus

The horses
do the real work.

SoulFire is the home of Journey with Equus — a nonprofit built around the extraordinary capacity horses have to help humans heal, rediscover themselves, and find their way back to who they really are.

Through equine-partnered wellness, Journey with Equus serves at-risk youth, veterans, and people in need — not through riding, but through relationship. Through presence. Through the wordless, honest communication that horses have always offered those quiet enough to receive it.

Every stay at SoulFire directly funds this mission. You come to rest. You leave having helped someone else find their footing again.

The Ranch Residents

You're not the only one
coming home here.

Owls, pronghorn, deer, herons, and hawks all call this land their own. They don't know you're a guest. They'll show up anyway — and they'll remind you what it feels like to be part of something larger than your own story.

Legacy

This is bigger than
a place to stay.

SoulFire is not the destination. It's the proof of concept. As this ranch becomes self-sustaining, the model — micro resort funding grassroots nonprofit — travels with us across the country.

There are ranches, farms, and parcels of land held by grassroots nonprofits all across America — organizations with powerful missions, deep community roots, and land they pour everything into sustaining. We are building the blueprint to help them not just endure, but flourish.

One
Build SoulFire

Prove the micro resort model works as a sustainable revenue engine for a mission-driven nonprofit on privately owned land.

Two
Become Self-Sustaining

Grow thoughtfully until the ranch fully funds Journey with Equus — and generates the capacity to replicate the model beyond Colorado.

Three
Expand the Blueprint

Take this model to grassroots nonprofits across the U.S. who hold land and carry mission. Help them build their own SoulFire.

We got our county approval. Here's what 18 months of land use meetings, site plans, and learning to speak "government" actually felt like.

The yes finally came. And before we move forward, we need to look back — because the road here was everything the ranch is going to be about. Honest, humbling, and worth every single step.

The horses were here before any of this was an idea. Here's what they've already taught us.

A quiet morning on the fence line. The fog was still low when the herd moved through it. Nobody spoke. Nobody needed to.

First dome placement: what the terrain told us that the blueprints didn't.

The land always has the last word. Unit one is placed. Here's what we learned — and what we'd do differently.
